Lisbon is known as the white city, thanks to its unique light. The clear light and the kind climate allow for marvellous walks all over the city. The city has a beauty that extends beyond its famed monuments that can be experienced in the streets, embraced by all of the senses.

Below are some facts in favour of Lisbon as the perfect destination for your event:

With over 150km's of coastline, bathed by the crystal-blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean, beautiful landscapes and unsurpassed natural features of contrasting cliffs and sand dunes, flavors of a unique cuisine, the friendliness of a people open to other civilizations and cultures; all this is a short distance away from major European capitals. The Algarve offers good and well equipped conference centre's for organising events, and delivering incentive programmes for business.

With large rooms, modern technical resources and teams of high performing professionals, these centre's guarantee the success of every business meeting in a region which, dotted with four and five-star hotels and luxurious golf courses, is well-placed as one of the best Meeting Industrydestinations in the world.

Due to the influence of the Atlantic Ocean, Lisbon has a pleasant climate throughout the year. The agreeable temperatures in the summer months are an open invitation for a walk by the river, or to spend an afternoon in one of the many street cafés to be found all over the city. Although the temperatures may fall somewhat in the autumn and winter months, sunshine is almost always a constant feature.

The Algarve enjoys one of the most stable climates in the world with its moderate and kind weather influenced by both the Atlantic and Mediterranean seas and its proximity to North Africa. Temperatures in the summer months from May to August can reach over 30°C. During the spring and autumn months from March to October the temperatures in Algarve average a pleasant 17°C to 19°C and this is accompanied with plenty of sunshine. The winter from November to February remains moderate and mild with bright sunny days and the temperature during this period stands around 15°C.

DMC Programme Ideas

Day 1 – Lisbon by night
Arrival at Lisbon International airport, welcome by our staff and transfer to the selected hotel.

Enjoy an unforgettable evening. Admire the city's major monuments at night. The intimacy of a House of Fado is the best way to experience this kind of music. You will be invited to appreciate traditional Portuguese food and wine, while singing along with the Fado singer and the sound of the Portuguese guitar.

Day 2 – Monumental Lisbon
Spend the day exploring Lisbon, its cafés in every corner, monumental squares, belvederes, fountains and history! Discover all this by tram and by walking to the most hidden corners of the old quarters of the city. Not missing the picturesque mediaeval quarters of Alfama and Mouraria, above which stands the castle.

Dinner will be by the riverside, in an emblematic restaurant where you will find a special atmosphere, as well as the choreography of hundreds of candles and warm lighting, which transform the immense room into an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.

Day 3 – Sailing in the Tagus River
Yachting is an excellent activity with all the best ingredients - it’s exhilarating, thrilling, prestigious, healthy, interactive, emotive and most of all, great fun! We suggest a sailing Regatta departing from one of the marinas in Lisbon, during which the participants can enjoy the thrills of sailing.

Dinner will be served in an outstanding venue, an old convent that was built in the 15th Century and is still considered one of the richest and largest convents ever seen to be built in the city. The convent is located in the historic part of Lisbon, a surprising location, rich in tradition and culture and close to the river Tejo. With its wonderful location and remarkable facilities, it is the ideal place for a gala dinner.

Day 4 – Farewell Lisbon
Check-out and departure to Lisbon International Airport.
