Ljubljana: Knights Games
Less than an hour away from Ljubljana, in the lush green countryside there is a mighty snow white castle. It dominates the wider area, as it has done for centuries. Castle Snežnik is home to the brave knights for whom we know, who put a lot of effort into protecting the land and its inhabitants. Nowadays we can recreate the medieval spirit and take part in real knight’s combat. Making a unique day with the knights completes the atmosphere that will recreate the medieval market, a period carriage ride and traditional homemade food. The day will also include themed teambuilding with a group activity.
Lake Bled: Lake Rowing Regatta
Bled is home to the Slovenian Olympic rowing medalists. Experience the thrills of a unique regatta organised exclusively for your team. Choose either a professional rowing boat or a wooden boat and let the real competition begin! Divided into teams, you will be introduced to the basic skills as well as rules governing rowing, before moving with your team into the water. Warm up and start, but above all, try to be the fastest! After the race there is also time for the award ceremony and a party for the winners.
Kranjska Gora: Winter Olympic Games
Take part in your own Olympic Games. Light the torch and let the games begin. Surrounded by the idyllic snow white landscape, the participants will be divided into teams, competing in real activities for medals. Enjoy the games, which will determine which team was most up for the challenge.
Portoroz & Piran: Farmer's Market and Village life
This event is a perfect gateway to the Slovenian Cultural and Culinary heritage. Visit Slovenian Istra, enjoying a day among the local inhabitants, presenting their own homemade creations. With music and good atmosphere, this programme can be enriched with an open-air picnic and sporting activities, such as hiking and biking; all with an authentic atmosphere, making the day memorable.
Postojna Caves & Predjama Castle
The Postojna cave system is the longest, with cave passages over 20 kilometres (12 miles) in length. The hydrological system, about 2 million years old, provided for the development of an extensive chamber cave system with magnificent formations of stalactites and stalagmites.
Postojna Caves and Predjama Castle are actually two great tours combined into one as the castle is close by, just ten minutes away from the caves by bus. Of course they share much in common being situated in the vicinity of each other, although historical documents refer mostly to the castle itself as it was inhabited in the middle ages.
Lipizzaner Horses
It all began in the 16th century at Lipica in today’s Slovenia, where Andalusian horses were crossed with local steeds, resulting in the gracious grey-white Lipizzan which is marvelled around the world. The Austro-Hungarian Empire was a dominant empire in Europe until its destruction and division in 1918 upon the end of World War 1. The Habsburg dynasty needed a strong cavalry horse and the result of the experiment was the Lipizzan stallion, a grand and elegant horse praised in Europe, becoming a favourite in many a country all over the world.
Piran
The sparkling town of Piran, squeezed on to a small peninsula stretching out to sea is a must-see region from the top of the hill, while standing besides Piran's Cathedral overlooking the town from above. A view that will take your breath away: the wonderful view of the sea and the Julian Alps in the distance.
